Amazon Fourth Quarter Results Beat Expectations
Strong revenue growth and earnings per share beat Wall Street estimates
Q4 Revenue up 14% to $170 billion
Amazon announced its financial results for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2023, today. The company reported revenue of $170 billion, an increase of 14% year-over-year. Amazon Web Services (AWS), the company's cloud computing division, continued to be a significant growth driver, with revenue increasing 20% to $21.4 billion for the quarter.
Earnings per share (EPS) came in at 78 cents, beating Wall Street expectations of 72 cents. This marks a significant improvement from the EPS of 56 cents reported in the same quarter last year.
