What is a Dojo?

In the Western world, the term "dojo" is used exclusively for Japanese martial arts such as aikido, judo, and karate-do.

A dojo is defined as a hall or a room dedicated to martial arts or judo training.

Dojo Etiquette

Respect for the dojo and its instructors is paramount in Japanese martial arts.

The Dojo Kun is the foundational Karate precepts that are recited in both Japanese and English.

There are many different types of dojo etiquette, but some common rules include:
